The plough can be usefully deployed in places where regular equipment cannot dredge due to limited depth or poor accessibility, such as near banks or around jetties. It is a well-suited tool for levelling the seabed and moving clay, silt, sand, or gravel to deeper water.
The plough is pulled by a workboat or tugboat. It is connected with wires and lowered to the seabed by a winch attached to an A-frame mounted on the stern of the vessel. The wires can be attached to the plough at different heights, depending on the required dredging depth.
Our plough consists of a heavy steel frame with two rows of cutting edges or teeth designed to penetrate the sediment. The last row consists of a Hardox plate. The replaceable tooth system is integrated into the plough design. These teeth are characterized by a long wear life, excellent digging performance, and easy replacement. A wide range of point shapes is available depending on the soil conditions.
