Successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for Custom Workboat 104
ECTMarine has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for Custom Workboat 104. The successful completion of the test marks an important milestone in the project and confirms that the vessel is ready to enter the final phase before transport and delivery.
Custom Workboat 104 is a bespoke workboat designed and built by ECTMarine in close cooperation with SRF Shipyard in Harlingen, the Netherlands. The vessel has been developed specifically around the customer’s operational requirements, resulting in a customised configuration suited to its intended working environment.
Customer delegation attends sea trial in the Netherlands
Last month, a delegation representing the customer travelled to the Netherlands to attend the Factory Acceptance Test and witness the vessel’s performance firsthand.
As part of the FAT programme, a dedicated sea trial was organised. During the trial, the vessel’s systems, operating modes and different configurations were extensively reviewed and demonstrated.
The two-day testing programme provided the customer, ECTMarine and the shipyard with the opportunity to verify that the vessel performs according to the agreed specifications and operational requirements.
All items included in the test programme were carefully assessed. The sea trial was completed successfully, and the parties involved agreed on a number of minor adjustments and remaining open points. These items will be addressed during the final completion stage of the project.
Preparing Custom Workboat 104 for transport
With the Factory Acceptance Test successfully completed, ECTMarine and its project partners will now focus on finalising the remaining preparations.
Once the final activities and agreed adjustments have been completed, transport to the vessel’s final destination can be arranged. This will bring Custom Workboat 104 one step closer to delivery and operational deployment.
The successful FAT is the result of close cooperation between ECTMarine, SRF Shipyard and the customer throughout the design and construction process. It represents another important step towards the successful completion and delivery of this purpose-built vessel.
