Inspection of first custom Fairlead

Earlier this year ECTMarine has received an order for a set of fairleads with custom features to withstand exposure to extreme conditions. One of the main issues was the seizure of the existing rollers and the failure of function of the fairlead as a consequence of harsh conditions on constant open sea.

To ensure sustained function and dimensional fit in the vessel our engineering team has customized our fairlead design to ensure 110% fit with the application.

Parts choice in the design is of great importance for the final performance. Special materials and designs for parts such as rollers seals and bearings have been selected for.

This inspection of the first fairlead is performed to ensure full compliance with our design criteria for the full set off 12.

Each fairlead weighs approximately 2300kG and has a save working load of 55 tons.

The fairleads we design and produce are 100% designed and made in Europe.
